When I am not working on my own website James Roughton or searching for new ways to enhance websites using social networking technology, I love to work with WordPress, as it it very flexible and user friendly. Over the past several years, I have been involved with many CMS-type software, such as Drupal and Joomla. But now have doing some freelance work with WordPress as the work comes along and when I am available. One thing that you should remember, if you are looking for a programmer, I am no programming expert, so if you are looking for CSS, PHP, Java, and other coding, then I am not the person that you need. My personal Coaching, Consulting, and Support consist of helping you customize your website using WordPress as you want to use it. This will include design, minor customization, training, Skype/phone support, and more that can be discussed. The objective is to find out what you want and not what I think that you want. As it may be, I offer my standard services at a flat “per project fee” based on the type of project that I am involved in. Once you have defined your project I will help you plan your site development. I will work with you via Skype to determine your specific needs. I will develop a mind map to outline the process. The following are my standard fees for specific projects: 
WordPress Blog Integration
The most requested service is blog integration which involves in taking your existing website and creating a WordPress website seamlessly matching the look and feel, as close as possible. With WordPress as the primary foundation, updating and managing your website is easy. You do not have to depend on others to add pages or post, etc. You can do it your self. I can show you how! We need to look at the “big picture” of what you are trying to accomplish and understand your vision for your site, your goals, and then put a plan in place to achieve the project. If necessary, we can discuss your site, page by page, and develop a list of recommendations that will cover link structure, page titles, meta tags, etc.
Price: $1000-2000 – This including consulting depending on the scope of work. This does not include plugins, themes, graphics, etc. that have to be purchase for the project. We just need to talk about your project and agree upon a price.
Price: $2500-3500 – If you want me to build your site and provide you the finished product.
Skype Support
If you are just looking for a little extra help or consulting/mentoring getting started with your WordPress I can walk you through some of the basics. In addition, I can provide training to you or your team on setting up and maintaining your website. Let’s just talk about what you want to accomplish! We can do a screen sharing session and I can show you exactly what to do. I can put together other instructional information if needed or can create video tutorials, etc. whatever is easiest for you.
Price: This is included in your initial fee. You will get up to 10 hours per month FREE.
Additional Services
I can help you with other things such as:
- Learning WordPress Basics – How to find your way around the your website, creating posts, creating pages, applying formatting, creating links, adding images, scheduling posts, etc.
- Finding the right plugin – Let me know what you want it to do and I probably already know of a plugin that may do it and if not, I will help you find one.
- Installing, Activating, and configuring Plugins.
- Finding and Installing a Theme – I will help you find a design that fits your business. Some themes will be FREE while others you will have to pay for the theme.
- Interconnecting your site with your favorite social networking sites.
- Posting video or audio on your site.
- Moving your site to a different web host or different web address.
- How to update your site using Windows Live Writer – This is a great FREE program from Microsoft.
- How to use such posting program such as Posterous, Amplify, RSS feeds for auto-posting.
I am open to discounted monthly retainer fees (essentially prepaid hours to use within that month). You will get a discount off of my hourly rate and I will make sure I am available to provide those hours within the month. This is what you may want if you constantly need WordPress work done or just general coaching.
Price: Retainer fees start at $100.00 – $200 per month depending on needs. This will be used to provide general coaching and how to setup you profile on social network sites.
Price: Setting up your profile on each Social Network Site identified. $25.00 per site.
